Paul is Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director of Icon and has over 27 years of experience in the IT software and services industry. Most of this has been focused on sales, especially new business development. He is a solution seller with significant experience in ERP & SCM markets with a strong track record of achievement across all market verticals and industries.
Paul began work in the late 1980’s in London and was instrumental in helping drive adoption of bar coding and scanning in the UK. As an AUTO ID solution provider, these early scanning and labelling solutions were utilised by various industries including Retail, FMCG and manufacturing sectors. Paul brought this knowledge to Australia and worked in retail solutions area with a couple of global players including Esselte group (CheckPoint Meto) and then Intermec, a US based manufacturer of data capture equipment (now owned by Honeywell). Paul then moved into the integration space and sold mobility and WMS middleware solutions to SAP before joining a start-up business called Consulting Principles in 2000. As National Sales Manager this business focused on SAP WMS solutions and quickly became the ‘de facto’ organisation for SAP WMS and mobility solutions in Australia.
After a 3 year stint at IBM Global Business Services (again focused on SAP), Paul co-founded Icon Integration with Peter Collett to continue his passion for SAP based sales and project delivery.
Pete started working with BusinessObjects UK as a technical support engineer in 1998. After 7 years working in various technical roles across the European and Asia Pacific regions, he turned his attentions towards the sales function as a solution architect. Within 3 years he was recognised by BusinessObjects as their Asia Pacific Sales Consultant of the Year in 2007.
Following a brief sabbatical to row across the Atlantic Ocean in 2007/8 (www.atlanticsolochallenge.com), Peter moved into the SAP BusinessObjects partner eco-system where he has been helping new and existing customers choose, deploy and maintain their BusinessObjects solutions. In his role as the Co-Managing Director, Peter continues to share his broad experiences, helping organisations successfully deploy and leverage SAP BI and BusinessObjects solutions.
